At least once per day, give yourself a goal. One task you wish to achieve. That is your aim for today. No matter what happens, you must get that one task done. The earlier the better, but even if it means doing it at 2am when you have to get up at 4am the next day, you MUST get it done.
There are, however, a few things to note:
1) Choose a task which you CAN do (not something which takes too long, is too hard, requires other things which you do not have, etc…)
2) Don’t expect to do more, or better, than you are able. Set your expectations to a realistic goal. (A lot of procrastinators expect too much of themselves.)
3) No matter what else happens today, before going to sleep, remind yourself to feel good about the fact you achieved your goal. (If you did not achieve it, get back up and do it. It was the ONE thing you had to do today!!!)
4) Reflect on the fact that you are able to achieve goals you set yourself. Each day notice how you are more and more able to do things you decide to do.
This will ensure you increase your self-esteem as well as your personal quota of “I can do things” account, thereby increasing your Will Power.
